In the examples shown here we removed the existing translucent roofs and replaced them with tiled roofs with vaulted ceilings. In order to do this we confirmed with Building Control, in each instance, that the existing footings were suitable to take the extra weight and loadings. We then designed the structure and provided the necessary structural calculations to prove its integrity.
As in both cases the existing conservatories lacked the latest in low energy glass and roofing products, the tiled roof greatly increased its efficiency, making for a true all year round living space.
